Teachers of The School of YogaSutra

The School of YogaSutra brings together teachers from diverse backgrounds who share a commitment to thoughtful practice, responsible teaching, and continuous learning.

Our faculty includes both resident teachers and guest instructors who contribute specialized trainings and perspectives. Each teacher brings their own experience, practice lineage, and field of expertise while supporting the shared educational vision of the school.

Together, the faculty guides students through a learning environment that values curiosity, observation, and long-term development in yoga practice and teaching.

Nisachon Xu

Headmaster

Nisachon Xu (Za) is the founder of YogaSutra and Headmaster of the School of YogaSutra. She is also a yoga therapist whose work focuses on helping people understand their bodies through movement, awareness, and mindful practice.

Her journey into yoga began as a personal exploration of movement and self-awareness. Over time, this curiosity expanded into deeper study of anatomy, biomechanics, and the ways yoga can support both physical health and mental clarity. Through years of teaching and continued study, she has developed an approach that integrates traditional yoga practice with modern movement science.

In her teaching, Za emphasises careful observation, gradual progression, and respect for the individuality of each body. Rather than focusing on achieving specific postures, she encourages students to explore how movement, breath, and attention interact within their practice.

Her work is closely connected with Loft Physio Clinic, where principles of rehabilitation and movement therapy inform the way yoga practice is approached. Through this integration, she supports students in developing practices that contribute not only to recovery but also to long-term resilience and sustainable movement.

At the School of YogaSutra, Za oversees the development of the curriculum and educational philosophy while also mentoring teachers and continuing her own study of yoga and movement science.

Nawarat Teeraprasert

Lead Instructor — 100-HR Chandra Krama Teacher Training

“Sama is balance, Sthiti is stillness.
When the body and mind align, harmony arises from within.”

Nawarat Teeraprasert (Kru Naw) is a dedicated yoga teacher whose path has been deeply shaped by the practice of Ashtanga Yoga and the study of the Vinyasa Krama Mandiram system.

Her journey with yoga began as a physical discipline, but over time the practice evolved into a steady guide for cultivating awareness, balance, and clarity in daily life. Through consistent practice, breath-led movement, and devotion to self-practice, yoga became not simply a method of training the body but a way of meeting life with greater attentiveness and steadiness.

Ashtanga Yoga forms the foundation of her teaching. The structured sequences and rhythm of breath and movement cultivate patience, humility, and a deep listening to the body over time. Practice is not approached as something to accomplish or perfect, but as a space one returns to again and again—a place where learning unfolds gradually.

Since 2010, her studies with Matthew Sweeney have expanded this foundation through the Vinyasa Krama Mandiram (VKM) system. This approach offers adaptable and therapeutic methods that allow yoga practice to respond intelligently to different bodies, conditions, and stages of life.

Rooted in traditional practice while informed by functional alignment and anatomical understanding, Naw’s teaching emphasises patience, compassion, and sustainability. Her intention is to create a space where students feel safe to explore their practice, developing both physical wellbeing and a deeper connection to themselves.

At the School of YogaSutra, Naw leads the 100-Hour Chandra Krama Teacher Training, guiding students through the Moon Sequence practice and the principles that support balanced, mindful, and sustainable yoga practice.
