Our Instructors

Our Teachers

At YogaSutra, our teachers come from different backgrounds and traditions of practice. Each instructor brings their own experience, personality, and teaching style to the classroom while sharing a common intention: to support students in developing a thoughtful and sustainable yoga practice.

While our teaching is guided by shared principles of mindful movement, breath awareness, and steady progression, we encourage each teacher to teach authentically in their own voice.

We believe that genuine teaching grows from personal practice and continued learning. For this reason, our instructors are given the space to express their individual perspective while remaining connected to the broader philosophy of YogaSutra.

This diversity allows students to experience yoga from different angles while continuing to practice within a supportive and consistent learning environment.

Over time, many students discover that practicing with different teachers can deepen their understanding of yoga in unexpected ways.

Finding the Right Teacher for Your Practice

If you are new to YogaSutra, you may notice that each teacher offers a slightly different approach to practice. Some instructors guide slower and more reflective sessions, while others offer dynamic movement and physically engaging classes.

Exploring different classes and teachers can be a valuable part of the learning process. Many students find that experiencing multiple teaching styles helps them develop a deeper understanding of movement, breath, and awareness.

If you are unsure where to begin, here are a few suggestions.

If you are new to yoga

Look for teachers who guide practice with a steady pace and clear explanations. These classes help students become familiar with the foundations of movement, breath, and the rhythm of yoga practice.

If you enjoy a slower and more mindful practice

Some teachers emphasize slower movement, longer holds, and deeper attention to breath and sensation. These classes create space for reflection and exploration of the subtler aspects of yoga.

If you enjoy a more dynamic practice

Other teachers guide flowing sequences and strength-building practices that develop coordination, stamina, and energy while maintaining awareness of breath and movement.

A simple suggestion

If you are new to YogaSutra, we encourage you to try a few different classes and teachers during your first visits. Each instructor brings their own perspective, and over time you will naturally discover which styles resonate most with your practice.
